Seminar Topics: Leadership (faculty module)
Leadership Projects are designed to develop students’ leadership skills experientially; however, projects should be supplemented with content material on leadership. Seminar Topics: Leadership (student module) contains material designed for this purpose. Please select whichever portions of Seminar Topics: Leadership (student module) that you think will benefit your students and either go over it together or assign it to your students to cover on their own. It is also recommended that you take advantage of leadership development resources on your own campus. Most campuses have staff trained to provide presentations on leadership and may be booked for one of your seminar topics. These include staff from Campus Career Centers, Leadership Development Offices, Residence Life, Student Affairs, and professors from departments such as Business and Psychology. There is also a wealth of on-line interactive exercises that students may find useful and enjoyable, such as sites that allow them to assess their leadership style and their strengths and opportunities for improvement as leaders; several are included in Seminar Topics: Leadership (student module).
